About
Michael Humphries is multi-instrumentalist,
composer, engineer, and producer. He has composed 3 works with his sister, Sage Humphries, for the Boston Ballet.
In May of 2019, he opened the Boston Calling Music festival, at Harvard University, performing his album, “White” (a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Beatles White album) with Dancers from the Boston Ballet.
In addition to composing, Michael has played with, collaborated, and studied under artists such as Daru Jones, Bob Reynolds, The Free Nationals, Marcus Machado, Ron Escheté, Joe Morris, and more.
Michael has studied music at some of the
highest institutions in the world, such as The New England Conservatory of
Music, where he received a dean’s scholarship for Jazz guitar studies. He is currently at Biola University studying Music composition and has been mentored by Film and Television composer Mike Watts and Robert Denham.
His 8th release entitled, “All for You”, is coming out this May 25th, 2020.
Michael is passionate about leading
young musicians and artists alike, towards a purpose beyond Just their artistry.
